Dr. Jeffery Thomsen graduated from Wethersfield High School and earned his Bachelor's Degree in Biology from Adelphi University in Garden City, NY. He attended the University of Connecticut, School of Dental Medicine on a U.S. Navy scholarship and graduated in 1979.
After graduation, he served in the U.S. Navy Dental Corp for three years of active duty at MCDEC, Quantico, VA and in the U.S. Navy Reserves for 17 years. He retired in 2000 with a rank of Lt. Commander.
He joined Dr's. Phillip Sehl and Hugh Mac Arthur in 1982 at the current address and continues to practice there to this day.
Dr. Thomsen is committed to continuing education and is a member of several professional dental organizations. He is a member of the Hartford Dental Society, Connecticut State Dental Association, American Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Thomsen has been rated at Top Dentist by his peers and Hartford Magazine 8 years in a row.
Dr. Thomsen and his wife Katherine have resided in Rocky Hill since 1982. They have three grown children and two grandchildren. Dr. Thomsen enjoys golfing, woodworking, spending time with his grandchildren, and the UConn Huskies.
